Jane Davidson Claim

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist committed to serving the needs of our community by providing a safe and compassionate environment for individual, couples and family therapy. I am accepting and non-judgmental. I always take a collaborative approach with my clients. In other words, I meet you where you are and together we work on the personal goals that you set for your therapy. I have worked with children and families in diverse settings for the past 30 years. I have a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver and a two-year postgraduate Certificate of Training in Couples and Family Therapy from the Denver Family Institute. I work as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, have served as a group facilitator for the Wings Foundation, and currently serve as a clinical supervisor for both The Gender Identity Center of Colorado and The Wings Foundation. For my clients dealing with trauma, I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a method that helps you to reprocess traumatic memories in a less painful way. In my other counseling work (particularly couples counseling), I draw from the well-researched and evidence-based Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) method, which has an extremely high success rate. I focus on your personal attachments, and sessions are mostly “in the moment” work. My ultimate goal is to help my clients reach their full potential in life. I will never ask you to do anything that I haven’t tried or done myself. I know that having a good rapport with a therapist is essential. For that reason, I invite you to call me for a free 30-minute “meet and greet” consultation by phone or in person. This will help us each determine if we’re a good fit. I look forward to helping you to experience the life that you desire and deserve to have.
