Misha Bogart-Monteith Claim

The enneagram types me (7) the Enthusiast, which gives you an idea of how you will experience me in the therapy room: gentle, optimistic, passionate, and deep; cross fertilizing from various theories and disciplines. I’m originally from Central Minnesota and I grew up in a conservative Christian community. This environment did not affirm or welcome LGBTQ+ identities. My hope is by knowing this about me you might gain a confidence that the person sitting across from you knows what its like to be on a journey. I studied Clinical Mental Health and Counseling at Denver Seminary and got my Masters in 2012. From there I worked as a therapist at the Gender Identity Center of Colorado. Simultaneously, I also worked at the Eating Disorder Center of Denver for 3 years. My mentor during and after graduate school was Julia Munson and I owe a lot of my success as a therapist to her, as her expertise made me into the counselor I am today.
